I am a super glass jar hoarder. I just love them for everything.
So, when I saw this idea for using them for picture frames, I was determined that someone was getting one for Christmas.
Fortunately, I had the picture ready to give my grandma already, now I have a nice presentation.
| This photo is fuzzy, not the actual one:) |
I decorated the lid with a piece of cloth hot glued on and a ribbon.
The beauty of it is, that the picture comes right out, so if Grandma would rather put it in a traditional frame, she can do so very easily.
I had to contain myself from going crazy with this right now, but it will probably be used again.
I've linked my little project here:)

I'm a jaraholic too! :-) What a neat idea! Did you have to put something else in the jar to hold the picture in place? Thank's for linking your WOW. I hope to have some jar wows next week. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteHi Petra,
ReplyDeleteI would love to see some of your jar WOWs:)
The picture just stays in, no adhesive needed. This was a 4by5 picture I think. Check out the link where I first saw this, too. She did some really cute things with hers.
What a great idea! I love the jars with the metal closers around them, kind of like canning jars but not. I had many with flowers and things on them years ago, and am so sorry I got rid of them!!! You can't buy them like that anymore.
ReplyDeleteI liked Petra's comment as I, too, love jars!
ReplyDeleteSuper Cute Idea.
ReplyDeleteThat's a cute idea!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet, Ma!!
ReplyDeleteGinny,
ReplyDeleteI have one of those jars.

I love the internet for ideas. I never would have come up with this one on my own.

Thanks BR:)
ReplyDeleteCloudy day here in southern California and clouds remind me of you Ma. We have a 1914 Craftsman Bungalow house, so have an assortment of old jars from that era as decorations. I like the idea of putting photographs in them for a duel purpose dust-collector. But what decoration is not a dust-collector? We love them all! Blessings, Brian
ReplyDeleteHi Brian,
ReplyDeleteDual purpose dust collector...I love that one.
It is very sunny (but cold) here today, but I am very happy about the sunny part.
I love this idea! I may have to use this one myself. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Thrifty Mom,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by:)
